This Process Piping course provides the learner a basic, practical understanding of the piping design and analysis requirements of the ASME B31.3 Process Piping Code. The course details piping component and system design, material considerations, fabrication, and examination and testing. It focuses on design loads for piping, design for internal pressure, piping flexibility analysis, branch reinforcement calculations, temperature considerations, piping layout and support design, and equipment nozzle load limits.
The course emphasizes the design and analysis requirements of B31.3, but it also includes practical information that comes from instructors who have worked for Owner-Users and in a consulting capacity.
The course content delivery features informal lecture style that includes example problems to challenge the learner to apply concepts covered in the lectures. The training course materials are developed and taught by our subject matter experts, many of whom are principal contributors on the relevant ASME committees.
