Mr. Olson has over 29 years of experience on the owner-user side of the chemicals and polymers industries.  Before joining E2G | The Equity Engineering Group, Inc., his roles focused on asset management, operations excellence, project management, and work process improvements.  He has worked at the plant and corporate levels leading multi-disciplined teams across worldwide locations.

In the area of asset management, Mr. Olson has led teams in all areas of the asset life cycle, including capital planning, design requirements, procurement and installation, development and optimization of inspection and maintenance programs, and the development and improvement of mechanical integrity programs.  His experience ranges from specific site relief valve programs to corporate-wide initiatives for improving reliability and maintenance methodologies.  He has developed and implemented root cause analysis programs as well as turnaround process planning, execution, and assessment systems.

Mr. Olson’s responsibilities regarding operations excellence have included engineering best practice and technical support for all disciplines across multi-site organizations, development and training of personnel, and work process and software integration including CMMS enhancements for reliability programs and dynamic reporting.

Mr. Olson has led major capital projects from conceptual design through detailed engineering, construction, commissioning, and start-up in the olefins, aromatics, and high-performance polymers industries.
