Mr. Rinas brings experience as both a consultant and owner-user providing engineering support to petrochemical facilities.  He possesses a strong background in assessing and promoting fixed equipment reliability.  Mr. Rinas uses advanced engineering principles and analysis tools to solve design or operational problems in the most practical, cost-effective manner.  These tools include advanced Finite Element Analysis (FEA) methods, piping flexibility analysis, API 579 Fitness-For-Service (FFS) analysis, and code or first-principle engineering design.

Mr. Rinas’ background includes experience as a Maintenance/Reliability Engineer at a heavy oil upgrading facility in northern Canada.  The work involved providing engineering technical support for maintenance activities during plant turnarounds, unplanned shutdowns, and routine day-to-day operations.  He also performed failure analyses and design work, and provided design, procurement and construction support for capital projects.  His broad knowledge of the various stages in the life of fixed equipment allows Mr. Rinas to be a valuable consulting resource in the petrochemical industry.
