As a member of this team, he performs technical evaluations of in-service fixed equipment in the oil & gas and chemical process industry. This equipment includes assets such as pressure vessels, piping, and storage tanks.Mr. Feller performs Fitness-For-Service (FFS) assessments in accordance with API 579-1/ASME FFS-1 to determine the acceptability of damaged equipment for continued operation and provide clients with inspection recommendations and/or cost-effective repair/replace solutions. He performs FFS assessments to evaluate damage mechanisms such as metal loss, distortion, brittle fracture, stress corrosion cracking, and fatigue.Mr. Feller also performs Suitability-For-Service (SFS) assessments to evaluate undocumented equipment and establish equipment operating limitations (pressure/temperature) to satisfy jurisdictional requirements. He also performs rerate assessments in accordance with NBIC and API 510 to alter equipment allowable operating pressure/temperature.As a part of the vibration field services that E2G offers, Mr. Feller participates in the collection of vibration data as well as the evaluation and processing of the data.
