As a master’s student, Mr. Saksena has worked on mapping the nonlinear acoustic wave propagation pattern in different environments from point sources arranged in specific patterns. The study focused on the wave propagation when encountering reflective, absorptive, and diffusive surfaces and their practical application in a vehicle cabin-like environment. The specific scope of this study was to understand the properties and characteristics of a parametric acoustic array, which is essentially a compactly arranged array of transducers that, under nonlinear interaction of ultrasonic waves, produces a beam of sound akin to an audio spotlight.Mr. Saksena worked as an NVH Engineer at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd for close to 2 years, which involved meeting and designing the project timelines, and working on several projects, delivering the desired NVH targets. He has worked and assisted CAE and testing teams with modal analysis and NVH measurements, respectively, on engine mounts, steering vibrations, and Buzz, Squeak & Rattle (BSR) measurements. Mr. Saksena has also supervised and assisted external consultancies on several NVH analysis projects and projects including software design for centralizing the data management and Transfer Path Analysis.At E2G | The Equity Engineering Group, Inc., Mr. Saksena works on structural analysis of piping systems and several components of oil refineries and similar industries. He performs design assessments including modal analysis, buckling assessments, and stress analysis using CAE software such as ABAQUS CAE and our in-house software – SIMFLEX-III.
