Piping vibrations are a safety concern that increases risk and reduces profitability by limiting process flowrates. Most owner-users have highly trained certified vibration analysts on staff to monitor and diagnose vibrations in rotating equipment. However, problems may arise when analysis techniques and equipment specific to rotating and reciprocating machinery are used to assess flow-induced vibrations. Using case studies, this webinar summarizes common pitfalls associated with piping vibration fatigue analysis and presents recommended procedures for the proper fatigue screening and assessment of piping vibrations. The vibration fatigue assessment methods will be categorized by recommended API 579 Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 assessment methodologies.
